Building on our success with AviGenics and relationships in Georgia, the Principals helped start ProLinia at the end of 1998. ProLinia harnessed the power of cloning and transgenic technologies for the improvement of large animal production (i.e., pigs and cattle). This Company's exclusive focus on agricultural applications, combined with a premier group of scientists, management and strategic partners (including Smithfield Farms, the largest U.S. hog producer) lead to its acquisition in 2003 by Exeter Life Sciences. This was TASCF's first liquidity event. |
